Tap the Go to work button. You do not need to find the workplace or pick a route. Here is exactly how a shift works and when each career is on.
Wait for a rostered day
Each career has its own working days. If no button shows up, today is probably a day off.
From 06:00, tap Go to work
The button shows in the HUD and in the Jobs app on your in-game phone. It stays until 22:00.
Your Sim travels there by itself
Community guides report a fare of up to ₦150 is deducted automatically, with no danfo to choose.
Be on time
Arriving after your shift start does not block the shift but lowers your work performance. Promotions need performance as well as skill.

What decides a promotion
Each career has five levels. Moving up needs your career’s skill at level 1, then 3, 5 and 7, plus full work performance. Pay roughly doubles at the first promotion, so training the right skill is the biggest income lever early on. See skills and training rates and the skill calculator.
Plan around the schedule too. Music and DJ are night careers, Trading is six days a week, and Teaching and Banking are the weekday day jobs.
