How to make money in Lagos Life

Your income comes from three places: your salary, side businesses and land. The order you use them in matters more than how hard you grind.

The three income sources

  1. Salary. Paid per shift and gated by skill. Each promotion roughly doubles your pay early on, so this is the fastest lever. All careers
  2. Side businesses. They earn on their own without using your shift. They cost capital up front.
  3. Land. It grows in value but pays no income. Omo-onile risk can take a share of the gain. Land prices

In-game naira has no real-world cash value. Do not trust anyone offering to buy or sell it for real money.

The surprising result: cheap pays back fastest

The POS Stand costs the least and pays itself back in the fewest shifts. The Quilox share pays the most per shift but takes the longest to earn its price back. Expensive businesses are a way to store money you already have, not a shortcut to getting it.

Bad days hurt more as the business gets bigger. A POS Stand’s worst day costs about ₦4,500. An Event Centre’s costs about ₦320,000.

The order that works

  1. Take the cheapest housing you can stand

Mushin at ₦2,400 a week. Housing guide

  2. Always keep one week of rent in reserve

    Rent is charged every Saturday.

  3. Train until you have been promoted at least twice

That means skill level 3 for the second promotion. How to level up faster

  4. Buy a POS Stand as your first asset

    ₦500,000 in Yaba.

  5. Only then consider furniture, vehicles, land or a bigger home

Check the governor’s policies before any big purchase.

Tax

The game has an income tax system with a weekly allowance and a tax panel, so your gross shift pay is not your take-home. We have not published bracket figures because they could not be verified. Check the tax panel in your game.
