Lagos Life land, cars and okada prices

Land and vehicles are late-game purchases. Land stores value, vehicles save travel time. Neither earns income.

Omo-onile risk is the chance a local family levy takes a share of your gains. Cheap land in Ikorodu and Epe grows slowly and carries the highest risk. Lekki Phase 2 land with a Certificate of Occupancy costs ten times more than Ikorodu but carries almost no risk. Banana Island waterfront has no omo-onile risk and the slowest growth, so you pay for safety and status, not returns.

The sources we used do not say how often the growth percentage applies, so check the in-game land panel before you buy.

Cheaper vehicles cost more per kilometre. On a long game the savings add up, but a vehicle is a comfort and time-saver, not a business. Buy one after your career and a first business are running. A transport subsidy halves danfo and keke fares, which can make a car less urgent.

Frequently asked questions

What is omo-onile in Lagos Life?

It is the game’s version of the local land levy. It is a percentage risk on your land gains, from 35% in Ikorodu to none on Banana Island.

Is a car worth buying early?

Not usually. Vehicles cut travel cost and time but do not earn money. Buy one after your career and a first business are running.
